Lake Jivaro
Lake Jivaro is a private man-made reservoir lake in southeast Shawnee County, Kansas. Built in the early 1960s, it is just east of Shawnee Heights Road. The dam of the lake is at the north end and the lake is roughly the shape of a tooth with both its roots. The lake has a surface area. It is lined with residences along about half of its shore.〔Wikimapia website, http://www.wikimapia.org/ ; Fishing Works website, http://www.fishingworks.com/lakes/kansas/shawnee/grantville/lake-jivaro/ ; Trails.com website, http://www.trails.com/topo.aspx?lat=39.0075&lon=-95.55164&s=50&size=s&style=drgsr .〕 Lake Jivaro has a community boat ramp at its northeast corner, at the west end of the dam. If it is to be used, permission must be obtained, as it is private property. There are no public boat ramps on the lake. There are also no public swimming areas. Fishing is allowed. The GoingOutside.com and Hook and Bullet websites say the lake has bass, walleye, bluegill, white perch and crappie.〔Wikimapia website, GoingOutside.com website, http://www.goingoutside.com/lake/103/1034894_Lake_Jivaro_Kansas.html ; Hook and Bullet website, http://www.hookandbullet.com/fishing-lake-jivaro-topeka-ks .〕 ==References==
